CBD Clinic™ Professional Series topical medications are the first and only non-prescription ointments and creams that combine FDA-approved active ingredients and hemp extract (CBD). Formulated with natural emollients that help the active analgesic ingredients penetrate deep to quickly increase blood flow to joints and muscles and interrupt pain signaling. Clients may choose one area that is experiencing discomfort, we will spend extra time to this area using the ointment. The CBD ointment will attack pain quickly and increase blood flow to areas where you are experiencing moderate discomfort. Absorbs quickly and easily to end the tenderness experienced with common muscle and joint pain.
What is Sports Massage?
Sports Massage is a group of massage techniques specifically designed to aid in athletic performance. Includes preevent, interevent, and postevent massage, and maintenance and injury massage or training.
Types of Sports Massage:
Swedish Massage (primalrily Deep Tissue or light pressure anti-inflammatory Massage)
Cross-Fiber Friction Massage (Friction based massage that is done in the opposite direction of muscle fibers to help break down tight, overused muscles.
Deep Compressions (Steady applied pressure that allows muscles to release with the least amount of stress on the muscles as possible.
Trigger Point Therapy (Specific points or knots in the muscles that are compressed in order to relieve the knots and tension in muscles)
What is Deep Tissue Massage?
A type of massage in which the fingers, thumbs and elbows are used to release chronic muscle tension, using slow, deep strokes and friction; the therapist may work perpendicularly to the length of the fibres of the superficial muscles, with the intent of massaging muscle that lies underneath. It is believed to increase blood flow and to be of greatest use in problem muscles for pain, rehabilitation and arthritic complaints.
What is Swedish Relaxation Massage?
The most commonly used form of classical Western massage, generally performed in the direction of the heart, sometimes with active or passive movement of the joints. It is used especially for relaxation, relief of muscular tension, and improvement of circulation and range of motion.
What is Prenatal Massage?
Massage that is focused on women whom are pregnant. Within this style the woman is positioned in a safe way for mother and baby. Certain areas of the body are avoided during pregnancy to also protect mother and baby. Prenatal work is customized depending on where the woman feels pain or stress in her body.
What is Cupping Therapy?
Through suction, the skin is drawn into the cup by creating a vacuum in the cup placed on the skin over the targeted area. The vacuum can be created either by the heating and subsequent cooling of the air in the cup, or via a mechanical pump. The cup is usually left in place for somewhere between five and fifteen minutes. It is believed by some to help treat pain, deep scar tissues in the muscles and connective tissue, muscle knots, and swelling.
